Celebrating 45 Years, The Yankee Security Convention Returns to Springfield, MA for Legendary Industry Event

April 7, 2025 – East Hartford, CT – Yankee Security Convention, a 501C3 charitable organization committed to the promotion and further education of the locksmith and security industry is excited to announce the dates for its 2025 Convention, October 21-25, 2025, in Springfield, MA. The Yankee Security Convention is a 5-day assembly of locksmiths and security professionals that features 3 days of education, with over 25 classes, covering a wide variety of subjects related to the security industry. The instructors are the most well-known and respected names in the industry. Class registration opens in the spring of 2025.

This year’s show theme, “Securing the Modern World” will be the catalyst for the event’s networking and educational opportunities as the show returns for its fourth successful year to the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Seasoned professionals and new industry colleagues from all over the country are invited to take the opportunity to meet fellow industry experts, network and make connections at the show that celebrates all facets of technologies, new and old, in the locksmith and security industry. The show provides three days of educational tracks as well as a two-day trade show event.

This year, the show dates have shifted slightly and will run from Tuesday through Saturday, with dedicated trade show hours taking place on both Friday and Saturday. In addition to booth availability, the 2025 show will have exciting sponsorship opportunities for exhibitors to further promote their companies. Details about these sponsorships will be made available on the Yankee Security Convention website.

Educational classes will take place during the day and evening, October 21 – 24, with daytime classes running from 8AM – 5PM, sponsored lunch events, and then evening classes being held on Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 7-9PM. These evening classes will be free of charge. Exhibitor space for the show will be reserved on a first come first serve basis. In addition to their events , Yankee Security Convention will also be hosting the ALOA PRP testing on Saturday, October 25th from 8AM – 12PM. Registration forms for this will be available on the Yankee website or on ALOA’s website later this year. Dedicated trade show hours for the Yankee Security Convention are scheduled for Friday, October 24th from 12PM – 5PM and Saturday, October 25th from 11AM – 4PM.

After classes on Thursday, all attendees are invited to attend the Yankee Security Convention Welcome Reception from 6-9PM and on Friday, also invited to attend another complimentary event sponsored by Assa Abloy from 6 – 9PM. Local sites for attendees to enjoy after show hours include the MGM Grand Casino, touring the Springfield Museums, visiting the Basketball Hall of Fame, and stopping in one of Springfield’s many bars and restaurants. Those who stay at the Springfield Sheraton can take advantage of the show’s group rate.

Yankee Security Convention, Inc., is a not-for-profit trade organization, formed in 1978 by a group of New England locksmiths. Through their dedication to industry and a keen understanding that the region needed a venue to showcase the advancement of the trade, the first show was successfully held in Chicopee, MA.
